Cassandra Shirk a twice-graduated student from Concordia University in Ann Arbor. She graduated cum laude in 2008 with a BA in English and returned in 2011 to earn her certificate in teaching. She did her student teaching in the fourth grade classroom at Shepherd of the Lakes in Brighton, and she spent the next four years there in the middle school teaching science, history, geography, and religion. On her spare time Miss Shirk enjoys playing games, reading, writing, and singing, and has been active in various choirs for the last 20 years. She also loves travelling and has been all over the world to places like Mexico, England, and Germany. She hopes to instill her love of literature and writing into her students this year!
